SEBI sends 'warning letter' to Infosys on updation delay

Infosys has been given an “administrative warning” by the Securities and Exchange Board of India due to delays in its Structured Digital Database (SDD). Infosys claimed the Covid-19 pandemic had delayed the logging of entries. However, SEBI rejected this argument and the regulator has advised Infosys to be attentive to the matter. The SDD contains the names of individuals and entities that share Unpublished Price Sensitive Information (UPSI), and must be maintained mandatorily under SEBI's insider trading regulations. Infosys is reportedly conducting internal due diligence but confirms that there will be no impact on its financial, operational, or other undertakings.
