Not many takers for premium PCs as market sees another big slump

PC shipments in India dropped by 30.1% in January 2023, with only 2.99 million units shipped in 1Q23. HP maintained market share, while premium notebook sales declined due to lower demand and inventory corrections. The online channel also saw a 42.4% YoY decline in 1Q23. The consumer segment had a decline of 36.1% YoY, while the commercial segment declined by 25.1% YoY. Only the government and education sectors had growth, with government growing by 25.2% YoY and education growing by 65.6% YoY.
